Part - 7 | Exams During PG-DAC Course | How to Prepare for CCEE - CMCE ?

I hope the earlier articles helped you a lot and prepared you for this thrilling journey. 

Here I am going to discuss on Different Exam that is taken for PG-DAC course in CDAC ACTS as per Syllabus.

Exams As Per Course Curriculum:

1. Module End Lab Exam 

2. CCEE (*Important for Placement point of View)

Exams for Extra Preparation

1. MCQ Practise Exam

2. Placement Preparation Exam

Module End Lab Exam

Module End Lab Exam is a practical based test, happens once the module teaching is over and is completely based on what things you learned in the module and practical implementation of concepts.

Its marks are considered for Final Course Certificate which you get after the end of course. In case you fail in the first attempt you can re-attempt the exam. In case you cheat in an exam, you are allowed to attempt after 6 months. 

After the exam, you have to upload the Code Folder on E-Mulyankan for evaluation, as instructed by the co-ordinator.

MCQ Practise Exam

It is an Online MCQ based Exam to prepare you for CCEE, happens on E-Pariksha portal (Developed by CDAC)

Also for Effective Communication and Aptitude, separate MCQ based exam takes place, and its marks are considered for the course certificate, if anyone fails in the first attempt, he/she is allowed to re-attempt one more time.

Placement Preparation Exam

This exam is only for Java, CPP, .Net module, with an aim to prepare you for Coding Rounds that happens during the Interview Process.

CCEE

CCEE is the Course End Exam of CDAC, it takes place after all teaching is over. And it is an important exam because if you score well (overall and module-wise score) you will get more calls during CCPP (Common Placement).

[As per pattern changed for Aug 19 Batch CMCE (Course Mid Exam) is added]

Exam Pattern:

1. It is an Online - MCQ based Exam separate for each Module with 40 Questions and No-Negative Marking and duration of 1 Hour.
2. On each day you will have Exam on any 2 Module, with 15 mins gap between each exam.
3. The exam is centralised, as there are a number of students for course overall in a region, so the exam will take place in batches (Morning and Afternoon) or for other courses it might be (Afternoon and Evening)
4. In Pune region, a student might be allocated centre as other CDAC institutes (this will be permanent for all exam)
5. Please make sure, you reach before the time at the respective centres as mentioned in Schedule (Timetable) because the co-ordinators will get a chance to take away your ID card or make you late for the exam or may not allow for the exam.


Marking Scheme:
1) The minimum score required for each module is 16 for passing, but one should target for 30+ score, one will get to know benefits later
2) If one fails in the exam in the first attempt, for at most 3 Modules, you are allowed one chance to reappear and exam will take place after 1 Week.
3) In case failed in 2nd Attempt then he/she has to attempt exam after 6 Month (i.e in Next Batch).


How to Prepare?

As it is a Fast-paced course, learning many modules at a time, so it may happen you start forgetting some minor things thought earlier in any module. So start preparing for exam 2-3 Weeks prior, prepare module in descending order of Scheduled Exams or any order as you wish.

Go through the syllabus again and google every topic from the syllabus and read up to certain depth via Online Resources, and also read from notes.
Note down the important points you come across, draw a diagram for fast revision.
Many topics are related to each other, so while searching online, you may remember other co-related concepts, search them too.

If you are reading this article at the beginning, of course, make sure you practise the Module-Wise and Topic Wise MCQ from resources like Sanfoundry on weekends for the currently ongoing module (Some time questions come as it is for the exam.).
