Part - 2 | CDAC Counselling Round

After the C-CAT Result Declaration, next Process starts which is purely based on the rank you obtained in A+B or A+B+C, it depends which course you wish to take admission and based on this which centre you will get allocated.

Let me give you an Idea There are 2 Counselling Round as Follows

1) First Counselling Round
- 1st Selection Round
- 2nd Upgradation Round (Based on College Preference your filled earlier)

2) Second Counselling Round
- 3rd Selection Round (Based on Seats Available and Cut-Off)

So I filled up the preference as Follows:

1) CDAC Pune - DAC
2) Sunbeam Pune - DAC
3) CDAC Kharghar - DAC
4) IACSD - DAC
5) Sunbeam Karad - DAC

But the reviews about CDAC Pune I received from Aug- 18 batch was not so good in case of teaching, as placement was yet to start so was not sure which centre to take. My friends preferred Sunbeam and they were suggesting me to change the preference till last minute of closing the preference filling (at it closes sharp at 11:59 pm, as website has timer script, if you are good enough in the hacking script you can still do changes on your risk).

So it was like if you get a good rank, whichever centre you fill you will get that. I was really confused and was thinking I should have got lesser rank so there might be no confusion about which centre to take. :-)
Jokes apart, I didn't make any change and, decided to go with ACTS.
(* Feb - 2018 Batch Review was too good in case of teaching and Placement).

Points to remember:
1) Ask every student from the different centre about teaching reviews (Even though you have to prepare yourself at any stage but there should be someone who can clear your doubt)
2) Fill Center and Course Preference Properly and Check the Deadline of Payment and Counselling Round.
3) In case of major doubt call the CDAC Helpline Number they are good to help you.

My Observations:
1) As many of my friends filled the preference unknowingly (means without asking centre reviews or consulting old students, even though they would have got good centre )
2) And Many other filled the preference and didn't pay the fees and on the day of declaration sent me the screen of error saying "You are not eligible as you didn't pay the fees" I suggested them to try for 3rd Round but they didn't tried.

So Finally Seat Allocation Result was announced and I got CDAC-PUNE for DAC course. If you see a review about this centre anywhere on the internet  then you will hear the following thing
"For Placement go with CDAC-Acts Pune".

So it was time to find a place to stay and food and most important Back-Packing.
